urance Riders, Sensation Pads, Bareback pads,
treeless saddle
Sending a photo tom@skito.net First I need to see a picture of the side view top line of your horse (s) without saddle or rider; please make sure the horse is standing still, on level ground with head up and all four feet showing against a good contrasting background. Second, I need to see an overhead picture from the rear that clearly shows the side to side contour of the back. And third, I need a side view picture of the rider in the current saddle that is being used on the horse standing still (please specify make, model and seat size of the current saddle). All Skito Treeless saddle pads are made with a front load
opening.
The table below is showing the shape of the saddle pad.
Increase pad longevity by keeping your
pad clean.
Washing
Instructions:
Remove foam inserts
Back fold the pad
to expose the fleece or underside place in washer.
Use the minimal amount of soap, and double rinse to remove soap residue I use about 3 tablespoons of detergent. (not woolite)
1/2 - 1 Cup of Baking Soda
Cool to warm (NOT HOT) water. NO BLEACH I have been adding baking soda to help neutralize salts,
leaves pad smelling fresh.
Baking Soda is gentle on clothing too. Google "cleaning with baking soda" you might be amazed. Baking Soda at Costco...available in a huge bag for only $5.00 Cleaning Foam Insert:
Removing the salts will help keep the foam inserts working properly. I use the following solution 2 Cups White Vinegar
2 - 3 gallons Warm Water (not hot) 1/2 - 1 Cup of Baking Soda In a clear plastic tub (purchased from Costco of course)
Place foam in the warm water bath solution.
Compress and release the foam to work solution into the
open-cells.
If foam remains stiff and not flexible then wash in a new
solution.
* Foam inserts need to be replace when they are stiff and
can not be compressed.
Rinse : Repeat process with clean water to remove
salts and vinegar solution .
NEVER WRING THE FOAM AS IT WILL TEAR.
NEVER USE SOAP OR BLEACH TO CLEAN THE FOAM.
DOGS LOVE TO EAT THE FOAM. TRY TO KEEP IT OUT OF
THEIR REACH.
If you tear the foam, don't cry...It can be replaced.
One method of Drying Foam Inserts. I use Two Towels.
Sandwich foam in between the two towels
Roll it up like a cinnamon roll
Step on the roll from side by side, inch by inch
Insert into pad and Happy Trails. Have questions, give me a call. Colleen
